Music Monday ~ Sydney Youngblood & Jimmy Nail
Sydney Youngblood ~ If Only I Could
This was the debut song from Sydney Youngblood, and his biggest hit that he released. It’s taken from his album “Feeling Free” which was released in 1989 and reached number 3 in the UK Singles Chart of the same year. The sample used in the song is from a house/dance hit called “Break For Love” by Raze, which got to number 2 in the UK Singles Chart in 1988.
Jimmy Nail ~ Ain’t No Doubt
This week I am choosing to have 2 videos for my Music Monday post, for a very good reason. Today sees my niece celebrate her 19th birthday today, and this song was number 1 on the day she was born. Jimmy Nail is a British actor/singer who reached the top of the UK Singles Chart in 1992 with this song. It’s taken from his 2nd album “Growing Up In Public” which got to number 2 the same year.
