Well last night saw the 1st semi-final take place for this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, from Norway. All 17 semi-finalists who were drawn to take part, sung their hearts out, but unfortunately only 10 countries could join the already qualified Spain, Norway, United Kingdom, France & Germany. Well after the 2 draws for the semi-finals, and the draw for the “Big 4″ and Norway’s position in the final, the bosses at Eurovision decided to allocate the draw for the running order, in which the countries will give their votes, after all 25 songs have performed.

So you know the order of the 1st semi final, well here is the 2nd semi-final, which is due to take place on Thursday 27th May 2010, again the top 10 countriews proceed through to the Saturday Live Final on the 29th May 2010. 50% of the vote is made up by the viewing public [...]
Well after last year’s “Fairtytale” for the Norwegians, this year’s contest comes from Oslo. With the 1st semi-final taking place on Tuesday 25th May 2010, the second semi-final on Thursday 27th May 2010 and the Grand Prix Final on Saturday 29th May 2010 (and believe me, I shall be watching all 3)

As promised earlier in the week, this year’s Eurovision Song Contest split results have been published and they do make interesting read, to say the least.
According to the Eurovision.tv website, they had 2 auditors checking the final result which has now taken place and now they are in a position to publish the results.

It was announced earlier today that the split voting results from this year’s Eurovision Song Contest will be announced this Friday 31st July.
What this means is we can see how the juries and televoters voted for each country.
Check back here on Friday for these results.
So as Noway won this year’s contest, the 2010 contest will be held in Oslo and preparation for the contest are already under way. The venue for next year’s contest has been decided and will the Telenor Arena, which is south of the capital, will be used to host the annual event.
