Cheryl Cole – Fight For This Love

Saturday, October 24th, 2009

She is part of the UK’s Biggest Selling Girl Group and now she has spread her wings, flown the nest (albeit temporarily) and released her debut solo song.

Cheryl Cole’s brand new song, is very upbeat and very dancey. It does have that twist of a “Girls Aloud” song so it should bode well for their fans, and I think they will be buying it in their bucketloads. The song is also very catchy and once everybody hears it a few times it will be playing around in your head and you won’t be able to get rid of it for a while.

So far this year, Alexandra Burke’s 2nd song is this years fastest selling, but Cheryl has overtaken her on that little feat and should be this weeks best seller. Also after her performance on last week’s X-Factor, single sales of the song have rocketed, despite the numerous complaints made that she was miming part of the song, should see her become the biggest seller so far this year.

Alexandra Burke – Bad Boys

Saturday, October 17th, 2009

Well the current title holder of the UK’s version of The X-Factor has released her 2nd single and a follow up to her million seller “Halelujah”.

“Bad Boys” is an up tempo song which to me sounds like the 60’s has met the 00’s with some of the song sounding very “hippyfied”.  And to top it all off she has got the USA Hottest act at the minute, and no it’s not Lady Gaga, to perform halfway through the song.  Flo Rida has added his own little twist to the track and when Alexandra performed the song on last week’s X-Factor he made his presence felt but joining her on stage.

Watch out for this to get to Number 1 and give Alexandra her 2nd Number 1 song.
